A second Family Movie Night of the summer planned for Friday, August 4. If the weather is nice, bring chairs and we will set up in the small parking lot next to the offices for an outdoor showing of the inspiring movie, “Simon Birch.” Even though Simon is the smallest kid in town, deep down he knows that he was born to do something big. He’s on a constant search to discover his destiny, but somehow manages to find nothing but trouble. Ashley Judd stars in this film rated, “two thumbs up, way up” by Siskel and Ebert. Admission is free to all and everyone is strongly encouraged to invite friends to attend. Popcorn and other refreshments will be sold to raise money for Watering Malawi. The film begins at 8:00 pm. If the weather is less desirable, the showing will move to the Fellowship Hall.
